At Northwich Glass, our range of uPVC tilt & turn windows allows maximum opening widths with the option of a full or limited amount of ventilation. With the tilt & turn opening system, these stylish windows can be fully opened from the side for full ventilation and ease of maintenance, while inward opening configurations allow for an effective fire escape, ideal for areas with restricted external space for an outward opening solution.
Equally, our aluminium range of tilt & turn windows have the same amount of versatility, while providing a more modern feel. These windows tend to have fewer but larger sections that open inwards when you turn the handle 180 degrees, or tilt in at the top when the handle is turned 90 degrees.

The tilt function allows for top ventilation, easily enabling warm air to escape, while the turn function creates ample air flow, allowing you control over your heating.
With the window placed in the turn position, you can safely clean the exterior of your windows while inside your home, perfect for second storey windows or flats.
These windows include security features such as robust internal hardware with multiple locking points, giving you peace of mind that your home is protected.
With tilt & turn windows, you have a wide choice of handles, colours, glazing and frame choices, allowing you to customise the best option for your home.
Tilt & turn windows are available with hidden hinges, enabling a clean, effortless look that gives the illusion of a fixed window, while remaining operable.
Tilt & turn windows generally have better air seals compared to other windows, creating a tighter seal, and therefore an air-tight window and enhanced energy efficiency.

Tilt & turn windows have a unique inward opening mechanism, working in the opposite way to standard casement windows. By definition, these windows have dual opening arcs – they can be opened fully inwards for easy cleaning and maximum ventilation, or via a top or bottom hinge to let a small amount of airflow into your living space. This feature gives you more control over ventilation and space saving, while providing you with a flexible window solution that complements any style of property.
