At Northwich Glass, we have a range of both uPVC and aluminium casement windows available. Our casement windows offer versatility, and are one of the most popular choices for homeowners in the Cheshire area.
This window style offers slim sightlines to let in maximum light, and is available in a wide choice of configurations, including top or side hung, arched top, or as a French window fire escape.
Our range of uPVC casement windows are made from lead-free PVC, and are far more thermally efficient than other traditional uPVC windows. By removing unnecessary steel reinforcement, and instead using the latest multi-chamber profile technology, these windows keep energy bills down, and keep the heat where it belongs – inside your home.
Similarly, our aluminium casement windows are built to the highest of standards, offering a cost-effective and high-performance solution that provides clean, sophisticated lines and functionality.
Aluminium windows typically let in substantial amounts of natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere in your home, and as a naturally insulating material, it won’t compromise on thermal performance.

Casement windows have endless methods of customisation. Configurations include top or side hung, and arched top, and can also include adding Georgian bars.
Casement windows are very easy to use, and provide smooth opening and closing. Many models can be further fitted with automatic openers for increased ease of use.
As casement windows open outward, they can easily flood any room with the desired amount of ventilation, meaning you won’t struggle to keep your living space cool.
Casement windows, and especially aluminium frames, offer extremely slim sightlines, helping homeowners get a wider view of their outdoor space.
Both uPVC and aluminium casement windows require very little maintenance, and can last for up to 30 years, giving you your money’s worth on your investment.
Casement windows come in a wide range of colours – aluminium comes in a limitless number of RAL colours, while uPVC allows for both colours and woodgrain finishes.

Contact UsMost homes in the UK are covered by permitted development, meaning it’s unlikely that you’ll need to secure planning permission to install new windows. There are a few exceptions, however, so if you’re in need of advice, give us a call and we’d be happy to help.
If you have the budget, it would be more worth your time to replace as many windows as you can at the same time. If the windows in your home are more than 20 years old and are showing signs of wear, we would recommend thinking about having your windows replaced.
The average lifespan of windows is between 15 and 30 years. This all depends on the craftsmanship, the materials used, and the weather conditions where you live.
Casement windows are generally the cheapest with dual turn windows being the most expensive. When it comes to materials for double glazed windows and doors, UPVC is usually the cheapest option. Wood and aluminium are likely to be more expensive.
